Never been in the palace firm as such but been involved in a few rows here and there but got to admit mainly at the back rather than in front. Can anyone remember or clarify this for me. Used to follow a small firm about after games in the 80's that had a tall skinhead bloke and another one with a tatoo on his neck who I will not name, only a small bloke but very game. There was only 10 - 20 and the rest made up of kids like myself 15 - 16 years old who were trying to find their feet. There was one bloke who was regualar with this mob and when we played Millwall at home he was in the seats in the Arthur Waite stand right at the front with Millwall. As Palce walked down the steps into the Arthur Waite he was giving it everything he could to palace and we were going mental. Was he a Millwall fan that run with palace or what was the story.
Always hated Millwall after this and got a few more slaps from them at the old Den for my troubles. Mate of mine got a slap from a palace fan in Idleton road as he thought we were Millwall. Had to explain I lived in Nunhead which threw him a bit as it was only 5 mins from Millwall. Also anyone remeber that pub in Haywards Heath after the Brighton game. Poor bloke didn't know what had hit him after the train emptied out and everyone got in the pub and started helping themselves or Reading at Thornton Heath station when about 6 of them took a real hidding on the train but they never backed off once, lucky really as they would have taken an even worse battering than they did. P.S why did we never get revenge on Birmingham or did we ????. Happy days
