arry -
Lets be fair here, I said earlier I didn't believe a lot what was said in the press, it's derby day these things happen. A load of lads on the beer and the sniff running down the road, adrenaline takes over and a few take a slap at Sydenham. Not a big deal.
The same with regards to Hastings. Some locals get upset with the 50 or so there, go and get a firm of bouncers to hang around outside. They wait for 6/7 younger Charlton to go to the cashpoint and pounce. It goes mad for a while, a female dyke bouncer runs and jumps on top of one of ours from behind, who spins around without realising and cracks her one.
This breaks her jaw etc in the process. Did you not think if it was that serious the lad would have served more than 5/6 months for it! The judge saw the CCTV and saw the lad couldn't have done anything else, was a mistake in the heat of the moment. Was just another case of the press trying to make football lads look like they had morals - I don't doubt the coverage of SS was exaggerated somewhat.
Keep it real eh

Fairplay J, at the time though there was a lot of people trying to spin it was 'dressed up' lads etc. I can see one bloke in a bit of LaCoste on the train who far from gives it, puts his hands up to say he's not interested and gets a butt for his troubles. Apart from that everyone else on there is in club polos and other shit topman etc stuff.
As I said earlier though, a derby day 60 or so lads on the oats and premium lager all morning. Go running down to the station and wrong place at the wrong time a couple who don't want to get involved get a slap.
One of those things, I just find it very cringey how lads from both sides can't keep it sensible on the net.

Same as us in the return fixture, some of the older Chaps out had not been seen for donkeys. We had about 150 on the waterfront who were out most of the afternoon. As I said, both mobs have had their moments and both can pull numbers/the quality when they need to. However, nowadays the game is well and truly dead
